Ryan, Payton and I got up Sunday morning and got ready to head to my Aunt and Uncle's house in Cle Elum.
Payton came downstairs to see what the Easter Bunny left for her and she was so excited with what her basket contained!
After digging through everything and oohhing and ahhing, we packed up the car to head over the pass. We were all looking forward to the nice drive.
Here's Payton saying "Bye bye" to Daddy, but she was actually coming with. So we all got in the car and headed out. 3/4 of the way there, I decided that it would be a great idea to get super sick in the car. Yes, all over myself AND the car. So.. we turned around and headed home. I felt horrible! Not only tummy-wise, but also for ruining Ryan and Payton's Easter.
However, we had a relaxing day at home, with me on the sofa and Payton running circles around the living room. Ryan was so sweet, he wanted to have our own Easter dinner. So, he went and purchased a small ham and we both decided that homemade Mac and Cheese sounded yummy too. Ryan and Payton cooked a wonderful dinner and we hung out as a family! Even though I ruined our plans with getting sick, it was still a nice day with the two people who mean the most.
Next year for sure we'll do the planned Easter Egg hunt, have the big dinner with family, and make it a memorable one for Payton. Thankfully this year, Payton won't remember missing out on the festivities.

Oh no!!! Sorry to hear you got sick, but it sounds like things turned out ok in the end :)
Coming from someone who has dealt with stomach yucks for the past month, I'm SO sorry! Glad your Easter turned out okay in the end -- Payton looks adorable!
Aw, sorry to hear you got sick. Sounds like the day turned out perfect anyways.
We missed you at Easter, and were really sorry to hear you were sick. Sounds like Ryan and Payton took good care of you though. Hopefully we will see you soon!~Brianna
